Jamie's going all 50s-throwback on Crawling Home tonight - the playlist includes a fantastically eclectic musical mix which would sound better than The Communards on continual rotation (but only just!) at any street party throughout the land! Brand new music from Canvas Wall, Philip Storey, The Bullet Catch, tracks dusted off from eesifreek and Rorschach, the sad passing of Mr Trololo and enough awkward admissions to keep you going for a full two hours.

30.04.12 Crawling Home - 'Spitfires, Misfires & Split Wires'

On this week's Crawling Home, Jamie's hearing (and brain!) have been left imbalanced by a misfiring badboy and his pathetically modified penis-extension. This leads to an evening of misadventure including dangerous hoovers, wearing inappropriate "sexy times" underwear for a doctor's appointment, stolen second-hand gents mags, being beaten 18-0 at Subbuteo and whinging about whingers.

23.04.12 Crawling Home - 'Highs, Lies, Sighs & Thighs'

On Crawling Home, Jamie suggests that the patron saint of England was a pure fantasist, much like his old flatmate who claimed he was a regular Casanova, but really had a cabin bed built entirely from gentleman's literature. There's also talk of losing people and voices, more on the Thursday Recharged Radio Flashmob, imagining that "Orla" from the song by Pepper & Shepherd looks like the lady from the Tic Tac advert, celebrating the ZX Spectrum and a misspent youth....!

02.04.12 Crawling Home - 'Banana-Hammocks'

On Crawling Home this week: We're planning on digging our way out of the bunker for The Great Escape (May 10th - see the events page!). Jamie's got his spoon and is practicing his best puzzled/concerned Steve McQueen face - although admittedly he looks more like an expectant toddler waiting for his pudding. Also on the show, is it time to end Battle of the Bands (unless they involve actual gladiatorial pursuits where bands send their rhythm sections to the slaughter in the coliseum)? Social Networking, is it time to leave party? Any weird and unusual bank holiday rituals? Oh, and did Jamie mention he's excited about The Great Escape on May 10th?! He's already packed his bag with banana-hammocks, buckets & spades, inflatables and windbreakers - we're pained to tell him he probably won't see the beach, but let's humour him nonetheless! P.S. don't forget that Crawling Home takes a break next week, but will return on April 16th for more madcap mayhem! :)

19.03.12 Crawling Home - 'Dead Serious'

On this week's Crawling Home - dead bands, dead scenes, dead friendships, deadbeats, dead-ends and the undead. Jamie fired up the hearse and the furnace - you can hear some highbrow topics (yes, it surprised us too!) in the first hour including: "Can a local scene thrive without petty band politics" and "What does Gotye's success (and indeed the culture of 100 million+ YouTube views) mean".
It swiftly returns to the gutter in the second hour, however, as Jamie continued his obsession/fear of the impending zombie apocalypse. We're pretty sure he shouldn't worry though - after many years of abuse and overuse, his brain is now the consistency of unset blancmange. It's not even a budget Aldi-standard brain - in fact, we don't think even a zombie-maggot would be inclined to try a bit.....!

05.03.12 Crawling Home - 'ARCfest'

On Crawling Home this week, Jamie realises he's been wearing silly hats and scarves most of his life.  Questions this week include: Ever, out of sheer stubbornness, made a bet you could never win? & Where are your favourite undiscovered, under the radar venues &/or scenes?

The second hour is "ARCfest 2012" hour - following on from the two day festival that saw 33 bands raising money for the Garden House Hospice, Jamie plays interviews with Saturday's headliners My Pet Junkie and an intriguing interview with Minor Pilot from Sunday where he discovers his connection to the band....!

27.02.12 Crawling Home - 'Project Moroccan Mint Roasted Vegetables'

On this week's Crawling Home, after Jamie receives an email entitled "Project Moroccan Mint Roasted Vegetables" he's unsure as to whether he's received a recipe or is now a member of MI5. Also on the agenda are mutinies, childhood Enid Blyton style gangs, inappropriate shop names (including Love Shutters, For Skin & Scat), playlists that should have never seen the light of day and throwing up in front of 80s pop icons. There's also lots of music with swear words, so little ears, turn away now!

20.02.12 Crawling Home - 'Sneezing Blow-Backs'

On this week's Crawling Home, a Postman fan, a gloveman, a spoonman, a soundman and why music from the 90s ruined Jamie's chances of ever being able to dance. There's also talk of laughing at inappropriate times, sneezing blow-backs, stealing shoes, encouraging drunken pirates and an unfortunate incident involving "tortoise porn".

06.02.12 Crawling Home - 'Faux Pas'

It's February, it's cold, and Jamie's wearing wellingtons. On Crawling Home, Jamie asks if it's okay to critique a junior school class assembly, faux pas with food, snow days, pandas, measles, "failing" and Paul Chuckle's (of Chuckle Brothers fame) overuse of foundation and eye-liner.

30.01.12 Crawling Home - 'Repercussions'

Jamie discovers that, much like Kinder Buenos under the tag line "like nothing you've ever tasted", 20 year old bubblegum tastes exactly like 27 year old bubblegum. He's joined in the studio by Ben Drake to discuss his new album "Repercussions" (available on general release on 31 January 2012) where they discuss, amongst some rather cool tracks, the biggest fib you ever told as a child (including "Attic Sith Lords" and "Death by Cheese"), new game show "Lick or Punch", unfortunate regular segment "Under the Table - The Vintage Gum Years", student radio and having too big a face for the harmonica.....!

23.01.12 Crawling Home - 'Tyrannosaurus Wreck'

Jamie thinks that shed-based science will help him in his pursuit to build a Jurassic Park style celebrity clone filled island with slightly defective clones (including a Simon Cowell who vomits constantly so is unable to talk and a Neil Buchanan with plasticine hands).  Expect some great tunes interspersed with various ramblings including: bad impersonators, 1980s biscuits, disappointing your offspring and judging albums by their sleeve-covers.

Also, inhabiting your younger self, Man vs Toilet, best thing ever found in a packed lunch, adventures on boats or similar floating things, maiming people with frozen Um Bongo and secret rock n roll parental admissions.

08.01.12 Crawling Home - '25 Years Too Late'

We're back! Jamie considers the merits of eating food 25 years past it's sell-by date, getting shot down on his ukulele train platform world tour, pimping sholleys, unearthing the origins of the band name "Coldplay", swinging with the Krankies and using a Sodastream to make fizzy tea.
